Commercial union life assurance company (Pakistan) ltd is a subsidiary of commercial general union (CGU) plc. After merger with general accident in 1998 it emerged as one of the world’s leading international insurers and No. 1 in UK. The CGU employees about 52000 people al round the world. It has a premium income of 18 billions proud sterling and assets management in excess of 120 billion pound sterling.

CU started life operation in Pakistan in 1996 and has now emerged as the fastest growing public sector insurer in Pakistan. It is registered with Karachi stock exchange.
